Preimplantation Genetic
Testing for Aneuploidy (PGT-A)
This is a technology that will check if there are any abnormalities in the chromosomes and genes of the embryo obtained by micro-insemination by running a chromosome and gene test. Overseas it is done as an aim to reduce miscarriages caused by abnormalities in chromosomes and genes.
※ PGS has been renamed to PGT-A (preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy) .
High-precision sex selection
By using PGT-A, it is possible to view the chromosomal makeup of an embryo. In this way, you can select the sex of the embryo you will transfer with almost 100% accuracy.
Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis(PGD※)
Through PGD, it is possible to diagnose specific genetic diseases and structural abnormalities of chromosomes in embryos. This can help with recurrent miscarriage, which is thought to be caused by a serious hereditary disease or a chromosomal structural abnormality.
※PGD has been renamed to PGT-M / SR (preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic / structural rearrangements).
Donor Sperm
When the husband has a problem with the sperm, it is possible to receive donor sperm from an overseas sperm bank. One method is to have the sperm inserted back into the wife's uterus (artificial insemination), and another method is Sperm is put back into the wife's uterus after in vitro fertilization.
Surrogacy
When there is a problem with the uterus, and the husband and wife cannot become pregnant, through a special program we will introduce you to a surrogate mother. In vitro fertilization will be performed using the wife's oocyte and husband's sperm and the embryo obtained will be transferred into the surrogate, and carried to term.
Donor Oocytes (Eggs)
This is a program when for some reason the wife's oocytes cannot be used, donor eggs from a third party can be received. The eggs received after being fertilized with the husband's sperm by in vitro fertilization will then be transferred back to the wife's uterus. The child born will be registered as the "actual child" of the husband and wife.
NIPT
NIPT is a test to check for numerical abnormalities in fetal chromosomes (such as trisomy 21, Down syndrome, etc.). It can be performed from the 10th week of pregnancy, earlier than amniocentesis. In addition, the test can be performed by simply drawing blood from the arm, just like a regular blood test, and there are almost no risks associated with the test.
Whole genome sequencing(WGS)using amniotic fluid or chorionic villus
Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) using amniotic fluid or chorionic villus is a test that can detect single bases that make up genes early in pregnancy to see if there are mutations that cause congenital diseases.
Preimplantation Whole Genome Sequencing Test (PGT-WGS)
The Preimplantation Whole Genome Sequencing Test (PGT-WGS) allows for the examination of fertilized eggs for mutations that cause congenital diseases at the single nucleotide level before pregnancy. Furthermore, since fertilized eggs (embryos) can be cryopreserved, you can take your time to carefully consider which embryos to implant without worrying about time constraints.
Prenatal Test for Determining Fetal Sex
This is a DNA test that examines the sex of a newly growing fetus from the beginning of pregnancy using the blood of a pregnant mother.
By simply collecting blood from the mother, the test can be performed without damaging the pregnancy.
On the other hand, with ultrasound examinations, it may be difficult to make a judgment visually due to conditions such as the posture of the fetus at times.
Prenatal fetal DNA paternity testing
It is a DNA type test that examines the parent-child relationship using the blood of a pregnant mother.
Paternity testing is performed by comparing fetal DNA with mother's DNA, and potentially father's DNA, by next-generation sequencing (NGS).
DNA Paternity Test for Aborted Fetus
It is a DNA type test that examines the parent-child relationship with the fetus after abortion surgery.
International Transport
(Oocytes, Sperms and Embryos)
At O.G.M.S., we offer transport services of frozen Oocytes, Sperms and Embryos stored at overseas medical institutions to our designated clinic in Japan and vise-versa.
LGBTQ
We also support LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning) people who want to have children. It may seem difficult for LGBTQ people to have children, but in fact there are many ways to do so. We offer a variety of reproductive medicine programs that are best suited to our clients. There are many same-sex couples and singles who have had children through our coordination.
Genetic Testing
A genetic disease is a general term for a disease that develops due to an abnormality (mutation) present in an individual's genes. This type of disease is influenced by the patient's genotype and other genetic factors.
